Call for Transcribers/Translators (Indonesian and Tagalog)

As part of a research project on parent migration and the health and well-being of left-behind children in South-East Asia, the CHAMPSEA team at the Asia Research Institute (ARI), National University of Singapore (NUS) is seeking 10 enthusiastic individuals to assist us with transcribing and translating of interviews from April to September 2017.


Job Scope:

You will assist the research team with transcribing and translating of the interviews that were conducted in Indonesian or Tagalog. You will be expected to complete at least 5 transcripts.



  • At least 18 years of age
  • Current NUS student and/or Singaporean/PR
  • Completed (or currently pursuing) tertiary/higher education
  • Ability to converse and write in the Indonesian/Tagalog language (For students taking Indonesian classes in NUS, you should be taking/have taken intermediate-level classes)
  • Past experience transcribing interviews will be an advantage but is not necessary

You will be remunerated on a package rate based on the length of the interview.
