Dr de Dios has commenced a one-year appointment as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Asian Migration cluster with effect from 5 January 2016.

She obtained her Ph.D in Geography at the National University of Singapore, and her Masters degrees in Applied Ethics and Philosophy at the Linköping University (Sweden) and the Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines) respectively. Her doctoral research analyzed the sociocultural and economic geographies of migrant creative labor, using the case study of overseas Filipino musicians in leisure venues throughout Asia.

Outside the academe Dr de Dios is a musician and vocal meditation teacher, and uses her work to explore the interfaces between performance, meditation, and participatory music-making.

While at ARI, she will be developing her dissertation for publication and contributing to the Casino Mobilities project.
