WIRATRI, Amorisa

Religion and Globalisation

Dr Amorisa Wiratri has commenced her appointment as a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Religion and Globalisation Cluster (Perspectives on Identity, Nationality, Diasporic Affinities, and Home (PINDAH)” project) with effect from 10 June 2025.

Dr Wiratri was a researcher at the Research Centre for Area Studies, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). She has over 15 years of experience in the field, with a strong focus on Southeast Asian studies, particularly in the areas of diaspora, migration, and border studies. Her research interests include migration, ethnicity, diaspora, citizenship, and border studies. She earned her undergraduate degree in Cultural Anthropology from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia, followed by a Master’s degree in Women’s Studies from Flinders University, Adelaide. She graduated with a PhD in Anthropology from School of Social Sciences at the University of Western Australia in 2024.
