Ms Aishah Alhadad commenced her appointment on 3 March 2026 as a Research Associate with the Southeast Asian Studies Next Generation Collaboratory, an ARI-Henry Luce Foundation Programme. She works with PI Assoc Prof Maitrii Aung-Thwin.

As a researcher, writer, and community worker, Aishah’s work explores the intersections of gender, race, class, and Islam in Singapore, bridging academic research with community-based engagement and realities. She is involved in community-led organisations and initiatives, most of which centre on local Muslim (-raised) women experiences.
