Dr Jin L. Li commenced her appointment as a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Migration and Mobilities Cluster with effect from 2 June 2026. She completed her PhD in Human Geography (2025) at University College London (UCL), under the supervision of Professor Johanna Waters and Professor Alan Latham. Her research lies at the intersection of migration studies, cultural and economic geography, and comparative governance, with a primary regional focus on Singapore, China and the UK. At ARI, her current project examines elite and high-net-worth migration to Singapore, exploring how privileged migrants navigate migration regimes, financial infrastructures and international education as strategies of risk and opportunity amid global uncertainty.
