Religion and Globalisation
Overview
The Religion and Globalisation cluster explores changing understandings and experiences of ‘religion’ in diverse Asian contexts. Our work examines dynamics of secularisation and religion in the modern period, as well as related issues of authority and tradition in contemporary religious discourse and practice. The Cluster focuses on transnational networks, connectivity and circulation among religious communities, and the creation of new social, ritual and cultural forms across Asia.
