Drawing on his sometimes baffling, sometimes amusing, but always interesting personal experiences over half a century of research and advisory work in the field of population, Prof. Jones will talk about “Demography as destiny: A demographic perspective on Asian development”. He will discuss how demographic approaches provide a powerful reality check to many social and political issues particularly in Asia.

Other guest speakers who have worked with Prof. Jones will also speak about his scholarship as well as some of the collaborative projects that they have done with him.
