Navigating Research Spaces in Migration Studies

Date: 21 Jan 2015
Time: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Venue:

Graduate Studies Meeting Room, AS7 #06-03
5 Arts Link, Shaw Foundation Building, Singapore 117570
National University of Singapore @ KRC

Jointly organized by the Asia Research Institute, and the Migration Cluster of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore.

This half-day collaborative workshop will bring together members of the FASS Migration Cluster and ARI Asian Migration Cluster to share an interest in engaging with and developing an intellectually robust and theoretically framed research agenda around migration. Taking inspirations from presentations around work currently underway by migration researchers at NUS, the group will discuss what has been learnt so far, will identify gaps in understanding and reflect on what a reinvigorated research agenda for the future might look like.

Another important aim of the event is to nurture the relationship between members of the ARI cluster and researchers at the FASS, and to explore the potential for future formal collaboration on joint research initiatives.
