Message From The Chair

The Asia Research Institute (ARI) has come a long way since it was first established in 2001. We are now one of the leading international research nodes for scholars in Asia, facilitating dialogue, building networks and producing world-class research on the Asian region, that is shared with the academic community and beyond.

In our present multi-polar world, the rising presence of Asia cannot be denied. This makes the study of the region even more essential as we seek to deal with the problems of today’s increasingly interconnected yet fragmented world.

ARI is well placed to initiate the dialogues, build the networks and nurture the scholarship through which solutions can be found. With our interdisciplinary focus, rich research clusters and strategic location between the East and West, we have created a community of scholars eager to collaborate with and learn from one another.
