On Friday afternoon (August 22), the Asia Research Institute at the National University of Singapore (NUS) held a launch event for the collection of essays, "Can Asians Think of Peace?" co-edited by veteran diplomat Kishore Mahbubani, Asia Research Institute Fellow Varigonda Kesava Chandra, and Associate Fellow Deng Shimei. During a conversation with Mahbubani, guest of honor and panelist George Yeo shared his observations on the current state of Sino-US relations with the 250 invited scholars, senior civil servants, and diplomats.
