Iced Bovril with soda, anyone? Dealing with city heat in colonial Singapore

Mr Xu Shengwei, Research Assistant at the Centre on Asia and Globalisation at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (NUS), and Dr Fiona Williamson, STS Cluster Associate at the Asia Research Institute, NUS, shared that our history can offer creative solutions for today’s heat woes and how previous generations managed the heat in imaginative and, occasionally, not unfamiliar ways.
