Groups supporting #migrant workers in #Singapore during #COVID-19 saw a surge in interest from volunteers in May reports The Straits Times.
Associate Professor Elaine Ho, from the Asia Research Institute, and Department of Geography at National University of Singapore (NUS), says: "Immigrants may see volunteering as a way of anchoring themselves and helping themselves to understand the norms of the community, as well as giving back to the society."
