Table talk with Martin Jacques on the world ‘will soon be China-centric’

BRITISH historian Martin Jacques found writing his first book a labour of love in more ways than one... Dr Jacques, 64, became enamoured of East Asia after his first tour of China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia in 1993. He has been a visiting senior research fellow at the Asia Research Institute in the National University of Singapore.
