Visiting Positions
Visiting Positions
ARI hosts field-leading scholars of Asia to: support the interdisciplinary work of our research clusters; collaborate with and mentor our early career researchers; and advance their own ambitious humanities and social science research projects.
We are currently accepting applications for visiting positions starting in 2025. There are two main schemes for senior faculty (Associate Profs and above):
- Visiting Scholars are those with a Faculty appointment at their home institution, who may wish to visit for a period of one to two months on a self-funded basis.
- Academic Visitors are those with a Faculty appointment at their home institution wishing to visit for a period of less than two weeks. This scheme is funded by ARI (accommodation, economy flight fares, and a per diem are provided).
Application Procedure
Prospective Visiting Scholars and Academic Visitors are requested to contact the leader of the research cluster(s) most closely related to your own interests. Please submit your CV and a one-page summary of the intended research plan for your visit.
