Dr Bernice Loh joined as Research Fellow with the Asian Migration Cluster on 31 May 2022.
She has a PhD in Sociology from Monash University, Australia. She is currently working on an interdisciplinary project that examines the integration, identity and social resilience of cross-national families and youth in Singapore. Prior to this, she was a Postdoctoral and Research Fellow at the Centre for Family and Population Research (CFPR), NUS, and a Research Officer at Monash University, Australia. Her research interests include youth and youth identities, gender, transnational families, mixed marriages and social inequalities. Her recent monograph which is based on her PhD thesis is titled “Tween Girls’ Dressing and Young Femininity in Singapore” (Springer, 2022).
