Dr Eric Kerr is Senior Lecturer and a Director at Tembusu College and Research Fellow in the Science, Technology, and Society cluster at the Asia Research Institute. Having originally trained as a lawyer in Scotland (LLB, Aberdeen), Eric moved into philosophy (PhD, Edinburgh) and now writes on issues in science, technology, and society. His doctoral dissertation combined social epistemology and philosophy of technology with ethnographic fieldwork with petroleum engineers in Thailand. More recently, he has worked on digital culture in Asia. Eric is the Associate Editor of Social Epistemology and a member of the Advisory Board for East Asian Science, Technology and Society.
