Miss Franchesca Rose Morais is a Research Associate with the Asian Migration Cluster.
She completed her MSocSci in Geography at NUS in 2024. For her master’s degree she explored the migration trajectories of transnational families and how COVID-19 has affected future considerations and experiences of transnational familyhood. Her research interests include a wide range of topics related to ethnic and migration studies, where she is primarily interested in transnational relationships, family dynamics, mobility regimes and negotiations of citizenship across a range of migration categories from highly skilled to low wage labour migrants. At ARI, she provides assistance for various migration research projects including Child Health and Migrant Parents in Southeast Asia (CHAMPSEA), and Transnationalism and Diaspora.
