Inter-Asia Engagements

Dr Giulia Dal Maso commenced her appointment as a Visiting Research Fellow with the Inter-Asia Engagements Cluster with effect from 26 October 2022.

She has a PhD in Cultural Studies from the University of Western Sydney and is currently also Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at the Department of Asian and North African Studies Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Her current research project CHINGREEN focuses on the financialisation of green and Chinese operations along the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). She will explore how the growing Chinese green finance nexus impacts the increasing financialisation of nature along the Belt and Road Initiative. She has published articles in various journals and a monograph titled Risky Expertise in Chinese Financialisation (Springer, 2020).
