Dr Colum Graham commenced his appointment as a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Food Politics and Society Cluster with effect from 16 July 2024.

He has a PhD from the Australian National University. His work focuses on understanding agrarian transition in Indonesia and elsewhere in the region. He is also interested in other issues concerning political economy and rural society, including food crop trade and corruption, and rural-urban dynamics. His work is interdisciplinary and seeks to understand and support small-scale farmers as they encounter states dealing with legacies of colonialism, and emerging challenges of automation and climate change.
