Ms Clair Elizabeth Hurford commenced her appointment as Institute Research Associate (Communications and Content Management) on 25 May 2024.

Ms Hurford’s professional experience spans university institutes and national cultural institutions in both Australia and Singapore, including the National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) and Asialink Arts at the University of Melbourne. She previously held the role of Research Associate (Communications) at ARI between 2020-2022, where she helped establish the institute’s academic platform, ARIscope. Prior to re-joining ARI, she was a Publications Coordinator at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) in Melbourne, Australia, working on titles including “Photography: Real and Imagined”, “Precarious Movements: Choreography and the Museum” and the NGV Triennial 2023 exhibition catalogue.
