Saharah Abubakar is Research Associate at ARI. She has a Master of Arts in Language Studies (English Language) from the National University of Singapore. She also holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) degree, having pursued a double major at NUS in English Language and Social Work. Her honours thesis explored the social networks and resilience of divorced Malay mothers. Before joining ARI, she completed her Diploma in Education in NIE/Nanyang Technological University and taught in primary and secondary schools, and English language to foreign students in a local polytechnic. At ARI, her work involves mostly copyediting of special issues, book volumes, monographs and other Institute publications. She is also the main person in the production and publication of the ARI Annual Report.
