Mr Yoga Prasetyo commenced his appointment as a Research Assistant with the Migration and Mobilities Cluster with effect from 15 September 2025.
He holds an MA in Migration Studies from the University of Sussex, where he received three best dissertation awards at both the university and UK levels. His work is largely inspired by the 25 years his mother spent working as a migrant domestic worker in Singapore, as well as his own experiences growing up as a “left-behind” child. He is interested in the intersections of labour migration, temporariness, childhood, and urbanism.
