Muhammad Naeem Shehryar commenced their appointment as a Research Assistant with the Science, Technology and Society Cluster (Carbon Governance in Southeast Asia [CGSEA] grant) with effect from 24 November 2023.
Shehryar graduated as an Urban Studies major and an Arts & Humanities minor from Yale-NUS College in 2023. Their interdisciplinary honours thesis explored the role of coastal infrastructure in mediating the relationships Singaporeans can and do form with their coastline. Their creative writing practice has been published in South—and Southeast Asian—literary magazines, and is regularly incorporated into their academic projects.
