Asian Migration

Dr Yang Wang commenced her appointment as Research Fellow with the Asian Migration Cluster with effect from 1 July 2022. 

She received her PhD in Communications and New Media from the National University of Singapore, and an MA in Mass Communication from Peking University. Her research interest lies at the intersection of information and communication technologies (ICTs), migration, family and gender. Her past research focused on transnational communication and mediated intimacy, education migration in Asia, mobile parenting, and workplace digital transformation. She has published in leading international journals. Her research at ARI centre on Chinese professional migrants in Singapore, with special focus on their migration trajectories and infrastructures, their contributions to the linkages between the origin and destination countries, as well as their (im)mobility experiences in post-pandemic times.
