Ms Yuna Bong commenced her appointment on 28 July 2026 as a Research Assistant with the Carbon Governance in Southeast Asia (CGSEA) project (PI: Prof David Taylor).

Yuna’s interests include climate governance, peatland management, political ecology, and the political economy of environmental governance, with a geographical focus on Maritime Southeast Asia.

She has completed the requirements for a Master’s degree in Climate Change and Sustainability at the National University of Singapore, with the degree to be conferred in August 2026. Her master’s research examines the political economy of peatland fire governance and transboundary haze in Maritime Southeast Asia, with a focus on Indonesia.
